I have chosen to make my rock band album cover to be in black and white as I thought it was more appropriate as the rock albums I looked up were also in black and white. For this album cover I experimented a lot of Photoshop as I know I need to develop my skills. I used so many new aspects of Photoshop such as 'the burn brush' to hand write the front cover. I also used a guitar in both sides as obviously this is a main instrument in a rock band. If I were to do it again I would have taking a picture of a person and not just an instrument because I think it looks a bit bland and not so interesting.

Preliminary-Hip Hop poster

This is my preliminary Hip Hop poster and I have chosen to include a mean looking boy (who is played by Lucy Froud) with his hoody up with a evil version of himself as a shadow. I did this because as I associated the name 'flush with cash' to be more gangster like  typical hip hop posters/music videos involving a manly boy with a flirtatious girl present. I choose to keep the writing bold but simple as I think it would have been unnoticeable and inappropriate due to the busy image. I put the main information in a bigger font size as this needs to stand out so people know who the poster is of.

I haven't used Photoshop much therefore I recapped on some skills that I have learnt such as changing the opacity. If I were to do this again I would have changed the lighting so it was more dark. This is because I think this is more suitable for the sinister look I was hoping to portray.
